American Public Human Services Association to Host Press Breakfast on Disability Employment Awareness Month
By Anonymous WASHINGTON September 26, 2004 -- APHSA to Host Press Breakfast On Disability Employment Awareness Month
In conjunction with the National Disability Employment Awareness Month in October, two prominent experts on disability employment policies will share their views at a press breakfast on Friday, Oct. 1, at the American Public Human Services Association, 810 First St., N.E., Suite 500, Washington, D.C.
Joni Thomas, an official from the Nebraska Office of Aging and Disability; and Donna Folkemer, program manager at the National Conference of State Legislatures, will address national and state policies that affect the employment of people with disabilities and answer questions from the press.
At the 8:45 a.m. press breakfast, APHSA’s Center for Workers with Disabilities will be releasing a survey of progress regarding disability policy throughout the 50 states.
